Why the precursors and not the neurotransmitter

Dopamine is not absorbed usefully when taken by mouth. What the body can use is the raw material it builds dopamine from, which is the amino acid tyrosine, along with the vitamin and mineral cofactors the conversion depends on. That is what this formula supplies.*

N-acetyl-L-cysteine is included as well, supporting the body's own antioxidant production.*
