The NeuroAdvanced dried urine profile measures neurotransmitters, their precursors and their metabolites. This combined kit adds four-point measurements on top of it:
Neurotransmitters measured include serotonin, GABA, glutamate, glycine, histamine, PEA and dopamine, along with their metabolites. Your kit insert lists the full panel.
Cortisol and melatonin both follow a daily rhythm. Cortisol normally peaks shortly after waking and declines to its lowest point at bedtime, and melatonin runs the opposite way. A single measurement of either gives you one point on a curve. Four measurements show the shape, which is where the pattern lives.
This is the kit to look at when sleep is part of the picture rather than an afterthought.
Dried urine on laboratory filter strips, collected at set times across one day. You urinate directly onto the strip or dip it in a cup, hang it to dry, then mail it. No refrigeration, and prepaid shipping to ZRT Laboratory is included. Results are typically ready in about two weeks.
On the day you collect, keep your fluid intake normal and avoid alcohol, nicotine, pineapple and walnuts, all of which ZRT lists as able to interfere with results.
